Jake "Xmithie" Puchero left Team Liquid's League of Legends roster, the team announced Tuesday, and he will join Immortals, according to a report by ESPN.

Xmithie is one of the most storied players in the LCS, joining the likes of Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg and Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, having the second most LCS titles in history.

Although Xmithie joined Team Liquid in 2017, the team didn't start to truly succeed until 2018. He has been part of Team Liquid's dominant run through the LCS since then, and he's helped the team win four straight domestic titles with two appearance in the League of Legends World Championship.

Xmithie's play and champion pool came under question after this year's worlds. Team Liquid failed to make it out of groups, and Xmithie was blamed for his limited champion pool on the big stage.

It is unclear who Team Liquid will replace Xmithie with in the 2020 season, but he has undeniably been one of the team's pillars of success domestically for two years.
