Bigi and his siblings are following in his father’s footsteps

The interview with Bigi took place at the Jackson family’s Hayvenhurst Estate in Los Angeles, during his brother Michael Joseph “Prince” Jackson’s Thriller Night Halloween Party. The event raised funds for the Heal Los Angeles Foundation.

As Bigi gave viewers a tour of the estate, he talked about his father’s legacy living on through him and his siblings: “There’s a lot of history in this house and the studio here. That’s what he was all about. That’s what each of us wants to do … make things that people can enjoy and hopefully benefit their lives.”

He is passionate about a variety of causes

When asked about the ongoing UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Bigi shared the importance of raising awareness about climate change.

“I do think it’s important that we all know about it … and I think we have some work to do, but our generation knows how important it is,” he said.

The interview was not Bigi’s first time talking about causes he stands for. In his family’s 2012 documentary Jacksonology: Our Story, a younger Bigi talked about extending help to places such as Africa and India by raising funds and through education. He was also passionate about saving endangered animals.

He and his siblings remain close despite not seeing each other regularly

The fundraising event was an opportunity for Bigi to spend time with his two older siblings, Prince Jackson and Paris Katherine Jackson.

Prince also recently appeared on Good Morning Britain and talked about the relationship between them: “We’re kind of all on that same level where my sister has her strengths, and my brother has his strengths, and where I’m not as strong in certain areas, they complement me in that way.”

While the siblings no longer live together (Bigi now lives in a multimillion-dollar mansion in Los Angeles suburb Calabasas), they manage to keep a close relationship and cherish any time spent together.

“Sometimes life just happens to get in the way … But any moment that I get to spend with my siblings now, especially as we’re getting older and our own lives are starting to blossom and grow, every moment that I get with them, any little family dinner, any family outing, is really a special moment,” Prince said.
