A Wayne County man was killed in a one-vehicle crash just outside of Sandersville on Friday evening.
Levertte Carter, 65, of Waynesboro died after crashing into a bridge on Pleasant Grove-Sandersville Road near Jessie Byrd Road at approximately 7:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Volunteers from Sandersville, Rustin and Powers responded along with EMServ Ambulance, the Jones County Sheriff’s Department and Deputy Coroner Don Sumrall.
