Summer's on the Beach was a notorious Fort Lauderdale bar that was highly popular with the Spring Break crowd, who gathered to watch fellow partiers participate in oil wrestling, bear wrestling and more. It was also one of the area's top concert venues, hosting acts like Joan Jett, Cheap Trick and Bad Company. As Fort Lauderdale Beach became less of a destination, so too did Summer's, and in 1992 it closed.
