The Division 2's underground faction presents an intriguing mystery for players to solve.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is the sequel to the 2016 Tom Clancy's The Division, both developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.
Released March 15, 2019, on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, The Division 2 is set in an alternate interpretation of a near-future Washington that, in the aftermath of a smallpox epidemic, has descended into chaos. Players take on the role of agents of the Strategic Homeland Division as they try to restore order in this multiplayer online shooter.
Players can form clans to better help them in their adventure, which will give them an edge against the various enemy factions who have carved out DC into a war zone. One strange faction though is the one known simply as the Underground.
Agents, get ready for Invasion: the Battle for D.C., starting with April 5’s update: Tidal Basin! This brings the most dangerous stronghold yet, plus new exotic weapons, gear sets, and more, as part of our expansive post-launch plan.

The Division 2 Underground Faction
The Division 2's underground faction is a strange, unlisted faction that players can encounter while exploring the sewers and underground areas of DC for loot. Often found in groups of three or four, this faction wears a distinct uniform and can be identified by the chain symbol above their heads. They attack completely silently and can often surprise players with ambushes, with only a change in music as an early tell.
Most notable though is their associated miniboss enemy, a heavy-set yellow-bar enemy wielding a chainsaw who brings to mind movie slasher killers like Friday the 13th or the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
As of yet, there are no known associated quests or missions with the Underground Faction.
