Steve Raible is an American radio personality and news anchor best known for his work as a radio analyst for the National Football League’s Seattle Seahawks. He spent several years working for KIRO 7 News in Seattle, Washington before joining the Seahawks. From 1976 until 1981, he also played professional football. Steve even worked as a sports commentator for KIRO Radio 7.3 FM and KIRO Am ESPN Seattle for around five years.

He was born into a middle-class Native American household in Louisville, Kentucky. From a young age, he was active in many sports such as football and soccer. He went to Trinity High School and graduated in 1972. Steve then enrolled at Georgia Tech University, where he played college football for four years. Until his graduation, he played tight end and wide receiver under coach Pepper Rodgers.

He was then selected in the 1976 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. He played wide receiver for the team for six consecutive seasons before being killed on the field. In mid-August, Steve’s lungs collapsed during the second pre-season game. He did not play again until 1980, in the game’s sixth regular-season game.

He eventually retired from football in 1981 due to a decrease in the depth chart caused by one pass. Raible was able to launch his radio career in 1982 as a color analyst for Seahawks radio broadcasts on KIRO. He subsequently went on to appear on KIRO ESPN Seattle until 1993. Raidble departed Kiro to work as a news anchor for KIRO TV from 1993 to 2020.
