Steam’s Winter Sale has officially begun, and it’s discounting thousands of titles through Jan. 4, 2024. Although Epic Games Store is currently having its own holiday sale through Jan. 10 (one that gives each gamer a 33% off coupon to use on games), this sale is an opportunity to save on a number of excellent titles on Steam, like Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Battlebit Remastered, Wasteland 3, and more.

Below, we’ve highlighted some of the great PC titles discounted during the Steam Winter Sale, which, as an added bonus, are all playable on the Steam Deck. We’ve included links to the Epic Games Store when possible, in case you prefer to shop there.

While we aren’t getting any new Steam Deck discounts, the vanilla version of the handheld that has an LCD screen is still going for its reduced price. Even with readily available competitors like the ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, and the upgraded Steam Deck OLED, the standard Steam Deck remains the most accessible option for handheld Windows gaming.

Valve’s handheld is an excellent platform for playing Elden Ring just about anywhere. FromSoftware’s open-world RPG launched just a couple of days following the Steam Deck and was among the first wave of Steam Deck-verified titles. It’s still one of the best ways to play.

The Steam Winter Sale is also your chance to vote in the annual Steam Awards, allowing you to show your support for games and developers across 11 categories. While this won’t net you any additional discounts, you’ll get a free Steam sticker for each category you vote for.
