Silver Airways is now offering mobile check-in and mobile boarding passes at all of the airports its serves in Florida, including those in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
To access mobile check-in, Silver customers can visit silverairways.com from a smartphone or mobile devices and select the “check-in” tab, and then enter a confirmation code and last name. Once the check-in process is completed, a paperless boarding pass is generated in an email.
Customers will show the boarding pass on their mobile phones for the barcode to be scanned at security check points and boarding gates instead of using a traditional printed pass.
The new mobile check-in option also allows customers to access flight status updates.
Silver operates more routes within Florida and between Florida and the Bahamas than any other airline, officials say. It averages 130 daily flights to 25 destinations, including several in the Mid-Atlantic region from Washington-Dulles Airport.
