My Students

We have an amazing classroom filled with 24 energetic kindergartners who are eager to learn. My students come from a variety of economic backgrounds, and there are several different languages spoken in their homes.

The diverse backgrounds of my students require a great deal of differentiated instruction and personalized learning activities to meet their individual needs.

I plan many opportunities for them to express their creativity through hands-on learning. Parent engagement events are also included in my school year. I love to see the confidence in my students' eyes when they bring their family to our event. They love to show off the projects we have been working on throughout the year.

My Project

Help me give my students a year subscription to the Scholastic News: Let's Find Out! newspaper editions. These little newspapers make the students feel so important having their own newspaper to encourage real world reading and knowledge. The real photos and engaging print are a great motivator.

The Scholastic Newspaper is a colorful and engaging way to give current events to my kindergartners!

The Scholastic company includes a digital print, big book style newspaper, and individual copies for my students. The collection of practice pages give me the resources to extend the lessons, too.
