After two years in Coconut Creek, Santo’s recently celebrated the grand opening of its second location in the former Gary Woo Asian Bistro.

“The majority of our customers in Coconut Creek came from Boca Raton and West Palm Beach,” manager Miranda Jade Robertson says. “We try to stay away from the cliché of buffets. We make everything fresh on a daily basis.”

The 60-item spread, including 20 sushi rolls, incorporates Japanese, Chinese, American and Latin fare, such as Brazilian meats and cheese bread. A sake bar offers 20 selections in addition to beer and wine.

Favorites are crab legs, ceviche and oysters. Dinner exclusives include a raw bar, New York strip at the grill station, sashimi and Grand Marnier prawns.

An employee painted the mural of three geisha girls behind the buffet. Chic white chairs contrast orange banquettes.

Weekday lunch buffets are $12.95; dinner is $20.95 Monday through Thursday and $23.25 Friday through Sunday. Weekend brunch, featuring $7 unlimited mimosas and organic eggs in breakfast dishes, is $16.95.
