KOMPAS.com - Piza margherita merupakan salah satu makanan khas Italia yang memiliki cita rasa yang unik.
Nama lain dari piza ini adalah piza neapolitan. Keunikan piza ini terlihat dari kombinasi warnanya.
Ada unsur warna merah dari saus tomat, hijau dari daun basil, dan putih dari keju mozzarella yang meleleh.
Ketiga warna tersebut sama seperti warna bendera Italia, yaitu merah, hijau, dan putih.
Piza margherita bisa kamu buat sendiri di rumah, pemula pun bisa untuk membuatnya.

Bahan untuk roti piza
300 gram tepung roti
1 sdt ragi instan
1 sdt garam
1 sdm minyak zaitun
Bahan untuk saus tomat
100 ml passata (pure tomat mentah)
segenggam daun basil atau 1 sdt daun basil kering
1 siung bawang putih, haluskan
Bahan untuk topping
125 gram mozzarella, iris
segenggam keju parmesan parut
segenggam tomat ceri, dibelah dua

Buat roti piza terlebih dahulu. Masukkan tepung, ragi, dan garam ke dalam mangkuk besar, aduk hingga semua bahan tercampur.
Buat lubang dan tuangkan 200 ml air hangat dan minyak zaitun. Aduk dengan sendok kayu sampai menjadi adonan lembut dan cukup basah.
Taburkan sedikit tepung dan uleni selama lima menit sampai halus.
Tutup mangkuk dengan handuk. Tunggu hingga adonan mengembang.
Lanjut ke pembuatan saus. Campurkan passata, basil, dan bawang putih yang sudah dihaluskan, lalu bumbui sesuai selera. Setelah tercampur, diamkan sesaat di suhu ruangan.
Buka adonan roti yang sudah mengembang. Uleni sebentar lalu bagi menjadi dua bagian berbentuk bola.
Taburi adonan dengan sedikit tepung, lalu pipihkan adonan menjadi bulatan besar tipis dengan diameter sekitar 25 cm.
Setelah dipipihkan, taruh bulatan ke loyang yang sudah ditaburi tepung.
Panaskan oven dengan suhu 240 derajat celsius dan letakkan loyang datar di dalam oven bagian rak paling atas.
Oleskan racikan saus tomat pada adonan. Taburkan keju, tomat, serta tuang sedikit minyak zaitun dan bumbu italia.
Masukkan loyang berisi piza dan taruh di atas loyang datar yang sudah dipanaskan tadi.
Panggang piza selama delapan sampai 10 menit sampai matang.
Setelah matang, keluarkan dari oven, tambahkan sedikit minyak zaitun dan taburi dengan daun basil. Sajikan selagi hangat.
