Red Dead Redemption 2 rock carving locations are one of many collectible-types players can quest after. The rewards for discovering the rock carvings are fairly worthwhile, especially once all 10 have been found.

Finding the first carving will earn the player $10 and a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon. Finding five earns a rock statue. But finding all 10 means receiving the Old Brass Compass, an item used to create a talisman that permanently slows weapon degradation by 20 percent.

Here's where to find Red Dead Redemption 2's rock carvings.

I’m admitting defeat and just looking up where all the dream catchers, fossils, and rock carvings are in red dead. I need to wrap this up and move on.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Rock Carving Location 1

This first location is a snowy one: in the Grizzlies West, east of Beartooth Beck. Head up Mount Hagen. Right before you've reached the end of the Summit, check your right for the rock carving. Or, make it to the cliff that's on the other side of the river, south of Widow's Rock, and walk down the winding path to the next level.

For this one, head up north of Strawberry. The carving is on the side of Mount Hagen.

Rock Carving Location 3

To find this location, walk along the Dakota River until you reach a high peak northwest to Cumberland Forest. It's south of Widow's Rock, across the river. Once you're at the top of the peak, look down toward a rope bridge. Once you've located it, head on down to find the ledge underneath the bridge, which will lead to a cliff face. There is the next carving.

Rock Carving Location 4

First, head up Mount Shann. Once at the top, cautiously make your way down while facing the southeastern ridge. Once you've reach the small plateau, you should be able to locate the next carving.

Rock Carving Location 5

This one is east of the Dakota River, just south of Limpany, which itself is south of Valentine. On the side of the burned settlements, look for a small ridge on a hill. The carving is right there.

Rock Carving Location 6

Go to Owanjila Lake, west of Strawberry. Follow the road west to head to the southwestern shore of the Owanjila Lake, then go along the shore by heading south. Follow the shore and the carving will be right in front of you.

Rock Carving Location 7

This is an easy one. Simply take the road next to Whityard Straight until you see a wooden bridge. It's directly west of Bacchus station and northeast of Fort Wallace. The carving is to the western side of the bridge, and a little up north.

Rock Carving Location 8

For this one, head over to the peak near Bacchus station that also overlooks the Dakota River. You'll find a lower ledge to the north. Head along the ledge and you'll see the carving.

Rock Carving Location 9

Start by heading south from Moonstone Pond in Grizzlies East, toward Heartland Overflow ignoring the roads. Once you've reached a plateau, look for the somewhat tricky carving. It's hidden to the east and overlooking the Heartland Overflow.

Rock Carving Location 10

In New Hanover, head to the Elysian Pool. On its eastern side, high up on the rock wall next to the path, is the rock carving. You may want to use Eagle Eye as this one is hidden high up.
