Wolves can be found in Red Dead Redemption 2, but the final wolf location in the game will lead players to the legendary wolf. After fighting it, players will then receive the legendary wolf pelt. the legendary wolf can be encountered at Cotorra Springs, which is to the west of Bacchus Station. A sign will pop up at the top left corner of the screen that alerts the player they are in "legendary animal territory."
Players will have to activate their detective mode by pressing both the left and right analog sticks. Bringing up detective mode will allow Arthur to see markings or tracks from animals, and will help pinpoint which location will lead players to the legendary wolf.
Once players find the legendary wolf, they will need to kill it in order to gain its pelt.
The pelt can then be sold to a Trapper, the nearest of which will be available northeast of Emerald Station and to the west of the Elysian Pool. It can be sold to create the Legendary Cougar & Wolf Vest, which costs $42.
