DESERT STAR jumped only fairly.

GORGEOUS VITALITY jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Shortly after the start, LESLIE, which also jumped only fairly, was crowded for room by VICTORY SCHOLARS which shifted in.

After the race, M Dee reported that his intention was to be more forward, but LESLIE settled further back after being crowded shortly after the start.

He added LESLIE did not stretch out comfortably throughout the event and failed to finish the race off.

A veterinary inspection of LESLIE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 600 Metres, WONDER KIT shifted to the outside of MAGIC PHOENIX and in doing so made contact with E UNIVERSE.

From the 150 Metres, RED ELEGANCE raced tight to the inside of VICTORY SCHOLARS, resulting in both runners brushing near the 100 Metres.

Approaching the 100 Metres, PHOENIX LIGHT was shifted to the inside of SUPERB CAPITALIST to continue into clear running.

After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung (SUPERB CAPITALIST) stated that his mount was unsuited by not being able to cross to the front and lead MAGIC PHOENIX and as a result gave ground in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection of SUPERB CAPITALIST immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of SUPERB CAPITALIST, a last start winner, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SUPERB CAPITALIST will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of VICTORY SCHOLARS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

WONDER KIT and REWARD SMILE were sent for sampling.

GENERAL:

Jockey A Badel and Apprentice Y L Chung were each fined the sum of $5,000 for having in their possession an iPad whilst present in the Jockeys Room in breach of Rule 155(6)(iii).

Racing Laboratory tests of KA YING VICTORY, RUBY SAILING, LUCKY RUBY, ACA POWER, HANDSOME REBEL, SUNLIGHT POWER, COMMANDING MISSILE, SUPER HIGHWAY, PACKING BOLE, GOLDEN SAMURAI, LOOKING COOL, FLYING MOJITO, UNIVERSAL HORIZON, YOUNG BRILLIANT, SWAN BAY, YELLOWFIN, SIMPLE HEDGE, SAUVESTRE, FLAMING RABBIT, GUMMY GUMMY, SELF IMPROVEMENT, FLYING ACE, ACE ONE, BEAUTY INSPIRE, FIND MY LOVE and SETANTA (18.6.23) proved negative.
