List, in order of importance, the three most important issues in your community and explain what you have done or would do about each.

Senior Care

Traffic Safety

Affordable Housing

How serious a problem in your community is overdevelopment, and would you support or oppose specific growth limits, such as requiring a supermajority vote for land use amendments? Why or why not?

Overdevelopment in Boynton Beach has been a problem for many years, long before I moved here in 2021. Developers come in with large sums of money and talk about the great opportunities they will be bringing to our community when in actuality they don’t care about our community, they only care about making money. If they really cared they would set aside green space for ALL residents to use and incorporate Affordable Workforce Housing. A city can grow and prosper with new development, but only if they pay their fare share of taxes to unburden the low/medium income, hard working citizens of our city.

Supermajority is not needed. The way it works now is fine.

What is the most overlooked issue in your community and what would you do about it?

Affordable housing is the most serious issue pressing our community. My solution is to redevelop the Boynton Beach Mall into a mixed used property allowing for affordable housing within walking distance to many jobs. We could have a vibrant “Village” within the city that could offer workers at such places as Target, Wal Mart, Publix etc to have an affordable place to live.

Voter participation in March municipal elections is historically very low. What should be done to improve voter turnout?

Voter turnout is very low because most people are not aware there is an election. Everyone always associates November with Election Day so it should be changed to November.

Also, the city of Boynton Beach needs to do a better job in letting the residents know about upcoming municipal election.

What factor most distinguishes you from your opponent(s) and why?

I listen to what people have to say. What concerns them needs to be heard. I may not always agree with the views or ideas of someone else, but I will always listen to them. Everyone’s voice deserves to be heard. We are lacking that right now with our elected officials in City Hall.

No

Why should voters elect you instead of your opponent?

Voters should elect me because I care about Boynton Beach, all of Boynton Beach not just the downtown area. I plan on bringing help to the hard working lower/middle income households, especially seniors. Seniors make up over 20% of the city population but is the least represented. With the average monthly social security retirement pay of just $1600, seniors are the most vulnerable portion of our population and I vow to do everything to protect them.
