Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan introduced the new PVE game mode Retribution for the Overwatch Archives seasonal event Wednesday night during the first Overwatch League broadcast of Stage 3.
After revealing the details of Retribution and the location of the PVE map,
Rialto is a district of Venice, Italy. Kaplan explained that "the team has been dying to do a map in Italy so this was a great opportunity!"
Rialto will be playable during Overwatch Archives as a PVE map and take place during the night. Rialto will playable as a PVP map after some time on the PTR and that version of the map will take place during the day.

Overwatch Archives and the Retribution version of Rialto goes live Tuesday. Blizzard announced through a teaser Overwatch Uprising would return for a second year. It released another teaser last week, and they included hints have made it seem that this year's event might have a Blackwatch theme -- which they definitely should!
