Israeli actress, writer, producer, and activist Noa Tohar Tishby was born in May 1977 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
She was born into a Zionist family which contributed to the establishment of the state of Israel.

Tishby started appearing in television commercials at the age of 8 and won a scholarship to study drama at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

She shot to fame in her home country in the 1990s when she appeared on Ramat Aviv Gimmel, an Israeli television drama series.

She has starred in movies such as The Island, Big Love, and NCIS.

Noa was married to British-Australian television host and journalist, Osher Gunsberg.
