Michael started working at NFL Network as an analyst in 2009. He appears on NFL Network’s Emmy-nominated NFL GameDay Morning, every Sunday morning together with Steve Mariucci, Kurt Warner, Ian Rapoport, Cynthia Frelund, and Rich Eisen. Moreover, Michael also appears on different NFL Network shows including NFL Total Access, and on NFL Network’s on-location coverage of such events as the NFL Scouting Combine and the Super Bowl.
He got a spinal cord injury and had to end his 12-year National Football League (NFL) career (1988-1999) with the team. Because of his penchant for making big plays in big games over his college and pro careers, he was nicknamed “the Playmaker”.
He is one of three key Cowboys offensive players who assisted the team to attain three Super Bowl wins: and is known as one of “The Triplets” along with Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith. Additionally, he is a previous broadcaster for ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown and is currently an analyst for NFL Network. In 2007, he was appointed, to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
