"An apple a day" didn't keep this doctor away -- or should we say medic?

A new face is coming to set for the 2018 season of the European League of Legends Championship Series. Some fans know the lucky caster as Aaron Chamberlain; others know him as Medic.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but if the doctor's this cute, forget the fruit.

Pleased to be bringing my gorgeous visage to the EU LCS in 2018!

Chamberlain's name, Medic, comes from his very own career path. Medic had a career as a doctor after taking a gap year post-high school graduation, and going through five years of medical school to achieve the very feat. Then, in August of 2016, he quit his job as a doctor to pursue yet another career--one, this time, as a caster.

"Although I love the science side of being a doctor, the emotional side took a real toll on me," Chamberlain told The Shotcalleras published in an interview posted to their website in September 2017. "Dealing with people getting sick and their families… It was just a lot of emotional investment."

Medic has worked alongside Andy "Vedius" Day and James "Stress" O’Leary before, casting the EU Challenger Series. As the infinitely interesting doctor-turned-caster he is, it'll definitely be interesting to see what he brings to the casting desk when this new season arrives on our doorsteps.

People keep asking if I know what I'm doing next year. I reply, ' NAh, no clue mate.'

In the meantime, we're just glad Medic finally found something to occupy his time with for the next year or so.
