A 24 year-old man was gunned down Monday night at an apartment complex in Lauderhill, police said.
Officers responding to an 11:25 p.m. call of gunfire found Jevon Douglas’ body in the stairwell of the Inverrary Club Apartments, said Lt. Gregory Solowsky, Lauderhill Police Department spokesman.
Douglas had several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, Solowsky said. Police have ruled his death a homicide.
The Broward Medical Examiner’s Office also responded to the fatality in the 2700 block of Northwest 56th Avenue, but at the request of Lauderhill police, could not release more information.
Lauderhill police urge anyone with information regarding the homicide to call Detective Goulette at 954-461-3421 or text “LPD” to 847-411 with information in the body of the text.
Tipsters can also contact Broward Crime Stoppers , anonymously, at 954-493-8477 or browardcrimestoppers.org. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
