Madden 22 Announcement Coming June 17

Madden fans will finally learn the cover players for Madden 2022 later this June.

The announcement of the announcement was made through the official NFL Twitter page early on Monday, June 14. In the tweet, the account teased that its audience will have to "see it to believe it"—accompanied by a pair of goat emojis. It also tagged the EA Madden Twitter account and used the hashtag associated with the upcoming title as if it wasn't clear enough what the account was referring to.

The reveal will happen on Thursday, June 17, at 10 a.m. ET.

Along with the tweet came a short video clip featuring two goats—of which, several eagle-eyed viewers noted, one was smaller than the other. The goats were implied to be attacking a pair of barn doors before they slide apart, making way to let them out. Afterward, Cleveland Browns' running back Peyton Hillis was shown speaking on the phone to an unknown recipient.

"Hey. It's Peyton," he said, "Yeah. They did it again."

Fans were quick to begin speculating on just how the cover would show. Of course, the top choice was superstar Tom Brady, followed closely by Patrick Mahomes. Other rumors include Justin Jefferson, Rob Gronkowski, and Derrick Henry.
