The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening final boss can be a bit tough if you are heading into the fight without having a clue what to do. Here are some tips that can help you finally beat the boss and win the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Final Boss: How to Beat it

The first phase of the boss battle is the Giant Blot. The Blot will bounce around and is quite weak. All you need to do is sprinkle magic powder on the blot three times to defeat it.

The second phase is Aghanim. Aghanim will throw balls of magic towards you, and you will have to hit them back. Aghanim will also sometimes throw magic balls that will scatter when hitting a wall. Make sure you run away from that. Simply hitting Aghanim four times will end this phase of the battle.

The third phase is Moldorm. Moldorm is a giant worm that will move erratically around the boss room. Simply hit its tail several times, and you will end this phase.

The fourth phase is Ganon. Ganon will summon flaming bats, will spin his staff to prevent incoming damage, and will throw his staff at you to prevent you from approaching. It's handy to equip the Pegasus Boots and Roc's Feather for this fight. You can use these items to approach Ganon when his staff is reaching you, or to approach him quickly to attack him. After a few strikes, you will finish this phase.

The fifth phase is Lanmola. Just one hit from the Magic rod is enough to defeat this portion of the battle.

The final phase is Dethl. Dethl will wave his arms around and his only weakness is his eye, which is open for very short intervals. You can shoot the eye with 16 arrows, or directly hit him with the boomering and kill him in one hit. After defeating Dethl, you just need to go up stairs, and you will have completed the game.
