Yesterday a group of neighbors (6 couples) went on the Delray Yacht Cruise that operates out of 801 East Atlantic Ave. with parking at nearby Veteran’s Park–just before the bridge. Despite the fact that it was an overcast day, the boat had a good crowd and the two hour trip north from Delray to Manalapan Island and return on the intercoastal was a pleasant outing.
The ship has three decks. The main deck is all enclosed. Passengers are seated at tables. The second level has a full service bar and an outdoor deck, with the third level providing a large open area for viewing the homes and condo apartments that frame the intercoastal. The length of the yacht is 105 ft. Maximum capacity is 150 people.
Upon embarking, coffee and juice was immediately available. After the boat go under way, the Sunday Buffet Brunch was opened and everyone got on line in an orderly fashion and filled their plates. You had your choice of everything, consisting of pancakes, bacon, ham, potatoes, a cheese and vegatable risotta, meatballs, and ziti. No one went hungry.
