The 34th edition of the Kiss Country Chili Cook-off is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at C.B. Smith Park, 900 N. Flamingo Road, Pembroke Pines. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. The event will happen, rain or shine.
Lineup: Brooks & Dunn, Luke Combs, LoCash, Rodney Atkins, Tyler Rich, Jon Langston, Runaway June, the James Barker Band, Dylan Schneider and Adam Hambrick will perform on two stages. (Hit the link for a Luke Combs interview.)
Tickets: General-admission tickets purchased in advance now cost $65, $339 for VIP, but prices will rise as the date of the event gets closer. Tickets will cost $75 at the gate. VIP cabanas, which cost $3,900, are sold out. Ticket sales are capped at 22,500.
Parking: $25 advance, $40 cash at the gate. Organizers are pushing visitors to purchase parking passes in advance to ease entry for everyone. A parking pass and an event ticket will be required for entry to the parking lots at C.B. Smith Park, where the Pines Boulevard gate will open at 1 a.m. Saturday and the Taft Street gate will open at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Remember, there is no tailgating allowed in Broward County parks.
Seating: There are no seats for general-admission areas, and you are encouraged to bring a low-rise chair. VIP will have seating.
