He began working at the age of 18 at WOSH in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Then he worked at WYNE (currently known as WHBY) based in Appleton, Wisconsin as a DJ. Further, he worked at KLIV in San Jose, California, and also he worked as the morning jock at WYBR-FM (now WXRX) in Rockford, Illinois. He was brought on as the KZZP morning DJ in Phoenix, Arizona in February 1981, where he took part in silly song parodies and prank phone calls.
He stepped in place of Dennis Miller on Westwood One’s nationwide talk radio lineup on March 30, 2015, as the midday host on 100-plus affiliates, including broadcasts on WLS (AM) in Chicago.
