Joe started up KSTP his daily Garage Logic drive-time radio show as a host on April 29, 1993. Producer Matt “The Rookie” Michalski had joined him on-air in the late 1990s, as the voice behind different imitations and skits on “Saturday Morning Sports Talk” and also “Garage Logic”.
The show got together with Rush Limbaugh’s program and became part of a combination that made the KSTP network the dominant talk station in the market. Joe became KSTP’s sole marquee talent after Rush left the show in 2006.
He also worked at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis as a sportswriter in 1973, he merged up with Patrick Reusse in 1980, who worked at the St. Paul Pioneer Press as a sports writer, they then became hosts of KSTP Radio’s “Monday Night Sports Talk”, however, the show had no connection with sports.
In 1993, After he had titled himself, mayor of Garage Logic, began a daily show by the same name. After he had begun his 25-year stint as a general columnist for the Pioneer Press. In the mid-1980s, he worked as a sports reporter and columnist at the Saint Paul Pioneer Press, and also in the mid-1990s for the same network he worked as a general columnist.
