I like the game "World of Goo", but there are no built in volume controls. Is there any way I can control the application volume another way? I like to listen to music while I play so muting the whole computer isn't helpful.

Karkala Nayak 2012-02-16 03:42:00 Hello Jernara,Unfortunately, you can't. The game does not have the option of turning off the music/soundfx.So you should go with changing PC's volume controls until your preferable level of sound.I hope it helped..:) Jernara Bussey 2012-02-16 04:08:00 That's actually what I'm asking how to do; in Windows you can open the volume mixer and adjust the volume of individual programs but I need something like that for OSX so I can circumvent the lack of in-game volume controls without changing the volume for the whole computer. Karkala Nayak 2012-02-22 09:00:00 Hello Jernara,Check this website on exactly how to change the output volume of your system...Go to the website and read the instructionsHere is the linkhttp:// this website also to change the sound preferencehttp:// in 'SOUND' window. Below at the bottom there is a box of Output Volume Slide the bar front or back to increase and decrease the master volume to your preference..I hope it helped:) Jernara Bussey 2012-02-22 16:46:00 Hi, thanks for the suggestions, but this still only lets me adjust the volume for the system as a whole, and not mute individual applications. FIDELIS 2012-02-15 23:06:00 Hello, have you checked the settings for your game?  Most games have the option of turning sound off.  Check in the settings under sound.  It is usually found with the description sound on. Jernara Bussey 2012-02-16 02:30:00 The game genuinely doesn't have any sound or video controls. It's been a complaint with the game for years but the developers just never bothered to do anything about it. 2012-02-15 22:14:00 Mute A Single Application'Audio Hijack Pro' can control the volume and quality of each application independently. You can control enable and disable each effect independentlyDetourhttp:// Jernara Bussey 2012-02-16 02:29:00 Hi, Thanks for the suggestions (which look promising) but I'm searching for free solutions to this issue. 2012-02-18 18:25:00 any luck to solve the volume individually? Jernara Bussey 2012-02-18 22:10:00 Unfortunately, the only ways to do this are with paid applications like the ones you suggested. :-(
