Is Minecraft Realms Down? How to Check if the Servers Are Down
The direct way to check if Minecraft Realms are down is from the horse's mouth. Mojang has a status Twitter account which will post announcements whenever there are connectivity issues.
Other services such as DownDetector and IsThisServiceDown serve as conglomerated services where players can report if they're experiencing issues.
There was a Java Realms issue Monday where players were unable to connect. Mojang announced it found an issue to the problem later.
