Is Captain America Dead in the Avengers Game?
Captain America's in-game death takes place on a day that becomes known as A-Day. Five Avengers are celebrating the establishment of a second headquarters in San Francisco and the reveal of a Helicarrier when Taskmaster attacks. The Terrigen Crystal powering the Helicarrier is destroyed when the ship crashes, with Captain America inside.
It's not yet clear how he survives, but it is clear that players will be able to control him as one of several playable characters in the game. He is one of the last characters players can unlock, likely because he is believed dead for much of the story.
