How Many Overwatch Characters are There?

​How many Overwatch characters are there? The number is ever growing as Blizzard continues to introduce new heroes to the universe. 

Baptiste was recently introduced to the community and is playable on the PTR.

How Many Overwatch Characters are There?

With the introduction of Baptiste, Overwatch is at 30 heroes. 

But Blizzard isn't going to stop anytime soon. Multiple characters in the Overwatch universe have been teased at one time or another. Echo was teased as a future Overwatch hero after Ashe, but we got Baptiste instead. That means Echo can still be in the works and there are others too. Junker Queen, or Junkertown Queen, has been a fan favorite since Junkertown was unveiled and her posters were all around the map. She could be a possible addition in the future as well.

The best part of adding new heroes to the game is a possible meta shift. Each new addition can bring about much-needed change to the game and style in which it is played. Fans hope Baptiste will be the answer to end GOATs.
