My wife and I just returned from a 5,000 mile driving trip. Like a previous writer, I was appalled at the difference in gasoline prices.

In approximately eight states, compared to Florida, regular gas was as much as 20to 25-cents-per-gallon less. Outrageous to say the least.

However, I must also reflect on a positive note. We live in a beautiful country. There is no need to go abroad looking for scenic beauty. Our forests, lakes and rivers, mountains, canyons, rolling hills, ravines, the cattle, farmlands, wildlife, etc. were enrapturing. The colors of nature surpassed those of the best an artist might create. With our daily headlines of continuous tragedy, let us take time to stop and smell the roses, and offer a prayer, God Bless America. Life can be blissful, and for this we are indebted.
