Fred Roggin Biography
Fred Roggin (Full name Frederick Jay Roggin) is a prominent American journalist currently working as a sports anchor for KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, California. Furthermore, he serves as an afternoon show co-host at KLAC. Prior to that, Fred worked as a sports talk radio host at KMPC in Los Angeles.
There, he hosted a morning sports show at KLAC alongside the Los Angeles Times sports columnist T.J. Simers and Tracy (Simers’ daughter) prior to joining KMPC. He also served as a host for NBC Sports coverage of the Summer Olympics in 2008.
Furthermore, Fred hosted the daily coverage of curling during the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics, and also the 2006, 2010, and 2014 Winter Olympics. He as well as anchored boxing coverage from the venue, which aired on Universal HD and CNBC. Furthermore, Fred served as a play-by-play announcer on multiple National Football League telecasts.
