Fort Lauderdale hair stylist among Office Depot contest winners

A Fort Lauderdale hair stylist is among 14 winners of the Elf Who Helps Small Business contest by office supplies retailers Office Depot and OfficeMax.

Chrissie Crosby, who runs her business out of iStudio, won a $1,000 gift card for office supplies, office tech products and two days of on-site services from TaskRabbit, a company that runs errands and tasks for households and businesses.

Office Depot and OfficeMax say Crosby will get help organizing its client list and print materials to stay in touch with customers and expand the business. Crosby got some help from TaskRabbit on Tuesday and it will continue Wednesday.

Another South Florida winner in the national contest was The Creative Learning Center in Miami.

The Elf Who Helps Small Business is part of Office Depot and OfficeMax’ ‘Your Holiday Workshop’ campaign to help businesses and individuals during the holiday season, the retailers said.
