Fork Knife Fortnite is a meme-turned-reality. The term "Fork Knife" was a funny way for players to refer to Fortnite, which was likely first popularized from ironic tweets about the game. But what does the term mean when it comes to Fortnite?
Fork Knife Fortnite: What Does it Mean?
In a new update from Epic Game, a giant fork and knife were dug up in the ground. Although it is visible from the Fortnite player's perspective on the ground, it can be best seen from high above. The area can be found if players head north of Fatal Fields, where they will encounter the Fork Knife. Epic Games seems to have played on the meaning of the meme and honored it with an in-game monument.
The area, though, came with complications. There is a small part inside the Fork Knife that will instantly kill players if they step on it. Epic Games explained it is aware of the problem and is working on a fix, but players should be wary when getting too close to the Fork knife area.
Fortnite Season 8 is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android devices.
