SOUTH FLORIDA

Residents of Broward and Miami-Dade counties will pay $300 a year, or $25 a day, to use Boca Raton’s only boat ramp starting Oct. 1, under a user fee passed late Tuesday night by the Boca Raton City Council.

The council instituted the user fees to reduce the number of people who use the Silver Palm Park boat ramp, just off Palmetto Park Road on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Palm Beach County residents will pay $27 a year, or $10 a day, to use the ramp.

Violations will carry a $25 fine and possible towing of vehicles.
