This eye-popping restaurant and lounge serving New American cuisine has launched new menu items for the summer and fall.
“We want to keep our menu fresh. We try to base our decisions on what our guests are telling us,” says Greg Jones, director of operations.
Standouts are seared scallops with polenta and lemon-butter sauce ($14), maple-bourbon brined pork chops with bourbon cream sauce ($26), beef prime rib ($26, 12 ounces; $30, 16 ounces), as well as a prime-rib French dip with havarti and horseradish ($19). A lighter strawberry shortcake ($8) temporarily is replacing the heavier peanut butter pie.
The seasonal cocktail is white sangria, which is $8 regularly and $5 during happy hour.
The Grille on Congress

This comfortable restaurant serving American classic fare is offering a daily three-course dinner for $28 through September.
“Our summer steak special has been a big hit. We started it on Friday nights and have expanded it to every night,” says Peter Donovan, who owns the restaurant with his wife, Suzie.
Guests get a choice of two salads and six entrees – swordfish or five cuts of steak with baked potato, onion straws and creamed spinach. Options are 16-ounce New York strip, 8-ounce filet mignon, 16-ounce rib-eye, 20-ounce T-bone or 16-ounce prime rib. End with carrot cake or chocolate fudge cake.
The Grille is closed on Sundays.
Insider tip: Their complimentary hot buttermilk biscuits are nostalgic for Southerners. The signature treat is a carryover from the days of the Donovans’ Khaki’s Bar & Grill, a former beloved neighborhood spot west of Boca Raton.

This oasis of dining, set in a lush tropical garden with waterfalls and colorful koi on the grounds of a boutique inn, is offering the highlights of a revamped menu with a special “Summer 3 for $33” through September.
The three-course menu, available from Sunday through Thursday, features tuna tartare stack with waffle chips and wasabi cream sauce, and lump crab cake as two of the four appetizers. Cajun chicken breast and seafood linguine in a pesto garlic sauce are two of the five entrees, and chocolate mousse with a surprise crunch is one of three closers.
Seasonal desserts and a martini ($11) using star fruit from the property’s garden also will run through September. The mango and star fruit bavarois also uses mango from the garden, and the gold star tarts indulge with cream cheese ($8 for both).

This Japanese fusion restaurant recently updated its food and drink menus. Start with clams steamed in sake with udon noodles in a sake cream broth ($13.25) or edamame dip ($5.25).
Bonfire shrimp fried with a chili sauce ($11.75) or grilled salmon with garlic green beans and spicy yuzu sauce ($10.25) are two of the five new shareable plates.
The Asian chicken wings ($7.25) now offer three choices: sesame garlic, black pepper teriyaki and chili ponzu. Crispy Asian tacos offer five options: spicy tuna and guacamole ($9.25), sake-steamed chicken and vegetables ($7.50), spicy salmon ($8.25), “RA”ckin’ shrimp ($8.25) and crispy white fish ($8.25).
RA has debuted its first frozen cocktails ($8): fuzzy momo bellini with sparkling wine, rum, yuzu, peach and strawberry puree, and Red Bull cherry bomb with cherry vodka and orange juice. Other new drinks are strawberry saketini ($9), coconut moshi mojito ($8), as well as skinny ones: cucumber Collins ($8), kiwi-berry kiss with lemon vodka ($8) and lycheetini ($9).
The three locations are hosting a “So Long Summer Party” from 7 p.m. to close Sept. 13 with discounted food and drink specials, such as sunset roll ($6), ceviche ($7.25), Long Island iced tea ($5) and sake sangria ($5).

Les Dames d’Escoffier Miami is presenting a series of events in honor of the 100th birthday of the late Julia Child on Sept. 15 to benefit the organization’s Legacy Awards.
One of the highlights is the “An American in Paris” dinner party at Tuyo atop the culinary institute’s building from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Celebrity chef Norman Van Aken, the institute’s director of restaurants, will host five courses.
Dishes will include an amuse-bouche of torchon of foie gras and mousseline de poisson; a Julia-approved tamale; homard a L’Americaine (lobster); the iconic boeuf a la bourguignonne; and Julia’s favorite dessert, an almond-chocolate cake called reine de Saba.
Tickets are $150.
