Can You Beat Lone Wolf?

Halo: Reach's Lone Wolf is one of the most famous missions in the Halo series, and one of the most affecting in video games. The mission takes place after the credits roll, when the player character, Noble Six, is the last human soldier on Reach. The mission places the character up against seemingly impossible odds. Can it be beaten?

Halo Reach Lone Wolf: Can You Beat Lone Wolf?

As this mission takes place at the very end of Halo: Reach's campaign, it should go without saying this article will contain spoilers for the game's story.

After he has successfully delivered a fragment of Cortana to the Pillar of Autumn ship, Noble Six decides to stay behind on Reach to cover the ship's escape. Lone Wolf depicts his final stand, facing down more and more Covenant soldiers until finally, inevitably, they overwhelm him.

There is no way to defeat all the Covenant in this mission. They'll continue to spawn endlessly. Lone Wolf ends only once the player has been killed, completing Noble Six's story.
