Brain Warp, a fast-paced elec tronic verbal command game, is the overwhelming favorite toy of America’s kids this year, accord ing to a survey by Duracell.

Brain Warp ranked highest among both boys and girls.

The toy requires children to quickly process and respond to information at ever-increasing speeds as they react to verbal commands while twisting and turning the toy in a particular position.

The survey excluded perennial best sellers such as Barbie, as well as high-priced video games, such as Nintendo 64, that are already predicted to be best sellers this holiday season.

Of the 28 new kid-tested toys included in the survey of 507 chil dren in the United States, the top 10 best toys were:

10. Dueling Racers (K’NEX).
