It’s the biggest and most expensive yacht the couple has ever chartered, Forbes reported, based on information from superyachtfan.com, being more than 350 feet (106 metres) long.

This particular Benetti superyacht, known as Lana, will be available for charter for about US$2 million a week beginning in the spring.

This is far more than the cost of a typical week-long superyacht rental, which can come to about US$150,000, per CNBC. Kismet, the 312-foot superyacht that Beyoncé and Jay-Z travelled on in 2018, costs about US$1.3 million per week.

While there are no official criteria to categorise a yacht as a superyacht, Bill Springer, editor-in-chief of the magazine Ocean Home, wrote for Forbes that “all superyachts are opulent enough to be equipped with an object that represents the epitome of luxury.”

In Lana’s case, that could be a number of things: the gym or spa facilities – including multiple treatment spaces from a steam room to a massage area – for instance. Or maybe the helicopter landing pad. More singular perhaps are the sculptures that decorate the yacht’s interior, referencing the flow of the ocean, according to the company website.

The sun deck comes with a 27-foot heated pool and a dining area that seats 12 people. Those 12 guests are accommodated in one of the eight suites aboard the ship, seven of them referred to as VIP guest rooms, each with its own colour scheme. The eighth room is a master suite.

The ship’s beach club is a waterfront entertainment area, while there’s a cinema room with a screen and sound system for when you’ve topped up your tan sufficiently.

On the main deck, there’s another large dining room … and plenty of lounging space.

As for performance, Lana is a motor yacht that cruises at 16 knots and has a maximum speed of 18.5 knots, meaning the singers’ will have plenty of range to explore the Med while on their holiday.
