In January 2016, she joined the WKBW-TV news team in Buffalo, Niagara, New York. Ashley’s job here was to anchor Channel 7 Eyewitness News at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. She renewed her three-year contract as the station’s sole female anchor. She has garnered two awards: the New York Emmy Award for Outstanding Evening Newscast in 2019, the New York State Broadcasters Award for Feature Reporting in 2018, and the New York Emmy Award-nominated for Outstanding Evening Newscast in 2018.
Ashley’s final newscast was on June 10, 2022. She has quit the station to spend as much time as possible with her infant daughter. From May 2010 until June 2011, she worked as a reporter and writer at CHCH before joining WKBW-TV.
