Apex Legends Season 6 Map Updates

The largest change coming to Apex Legends will be the creation of Launch Site, a new drop location built in an unoccupied lava field by Hammond Industries. The new site will have four main control rooms that are filled with loot. The goal is to make Launch Site a new contested drop location due to its location on the map and ample loot.

Countdown, a new location that showcases the new "rising walls" mechanic, will replace Drill Site. The new location features walls that can be raised to fortify the area by activating a panel. Additionally, the location has a lower level that can be opened to find tons of loot. This is a dangerous venture, however, and should only be attempted if your team has control over the area.

The last of the major map changes is a brand new location called Staging. The new location replaces a village that sat near Harvester. The area also features rising walls and should provide much more loot than the original village. Due to the increase in loot, players can expect the location to be more contested than its previous version.

All of these changes will release with Apex Legends Season 6, which is scheduled to release on Aug. 18.
