Al Leiter Biography
Al Leiter is an American retired professional baseball left-handed starting pitcher currently serving for MLB Network as the studio analyst.
Prior to that, Leiter served for the YES Network as a color commentator as well as a 2016 Marlins Fox Sports Florida as a game analyst.
He pitched 19 seasons for Florida Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets, and New York Yankees in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Leiter was also an advisor for baseball operations with NY Mets. Al served as an analyst alongside Thom Brenaman and Steve Lyons.
He was in the booth in the following year for the Boston Red Sox Vs. NY Yankees in the ALCS with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver.
The journalist has served the YES Network as a color commentator and a studio analyst since 2006. In 2007, Al won a NY Emmy for the “Manny game” in Boston.
