Adventure Bay Early Learning Center opened two new Broward County locations, one in Miramar and the other at the Weston-Sunrise border.
The Miramar site, at 10950 Pembroke Road, opened in June. The Weston-Sunrise facility, at 16098 W. State Road 84, has been opened since late August.
Both campuses measure 10,000 square feet. The air-conditioned interiors are equipped with nine classrooms, a getting-ready-to-read room, a media center, a kitchen and a gymnasium. Outside, each center has a swimming pool and playground.
Adventure Bay takes children, ages 1 to pre-kindergarten. Kindergarten classes will be offered in the fall. Students can enroll either full or part time.
The school-year curriculum, from September to June, includes cooking, drama, crafts and music. For older children, there are Spanish lessons, a getting-ready-to-read program and computer time.
Instructors who specialize in those fields teach the different activities. For its learning programs, Adventure Bay employs college-educated and experienced teachers.
Adventure Bay also has three other locations: Coconut Creek, Boca Raton and Plantation. Lenore S. Green, who has a master’s degree in early childhood education, founded the preschool in 1990.
All of the centers also have summer camp and an after-school program for elementary-age children up to fifth grade.
