Hannah Giles, the Florida International University student whose undercover tape of ACORN activities became a national expose, has a journalistic history here in Broward County, at Broward College.

Giles worked at the student newspaper last year and did some political writing.

Here’s an excerpt from that story, written by Sun Sentinel staff writer Mike Clary:

Here’s a link to the student paper, The Observer, where on page 21 she has a Sept. 2008 piece about the presidential campaign, entitled “Can Obama lie with dogs and NOT rise with fleas?”

An excerpt:

” … All of this implies the Democrats are using Obama as a flashy puppet to distract

from the corruption of their show. Obama: Hawaiian-born, Harvard graduate, has a cool

cat reputation. His mother was white, his father black. It is safe to assume there are no

prejudices there, and this should make it easy for him to relate to all people…. Problem: Obama is a new man every day. He speaks of change. And that he does daily, right in front of America’s eyes.”

And also a story on page 23 of that edition, headlined “Politics made plain, a gift from John McCain.”

Here’s another of her pieces, on page 15.
